Membership

Everyone is welcome to join the Farnham & District Museum Society! Our members benefit from:

• Joining a group of welcoming and friendly people interested in the history of Farnham and the surrounding area.
• Four editions of the Farnham & District Museum Society must-read local history journal every year.
• Entry to eight talks a year.
• Exclusive entry to member-only events at the Museum.
• Invitations to book launches where the launched publication is discounted.
• The opportunity to elect officers and contribute to policy decisions at Annual General Meetings.

We encourage our members to actively participate in the Society if they wish. Members can help us by:

• Acting as a volunteer to assist in the running of the Society.
• Contributing to the preservation of Farnham’s history and Society finances by authoring journal articles or book publications; authors receive the support needed to write, produce, launch, market and distribute an article or publication.
• Promoting the importance of the Society to the wider public to encourage greater awareness of and engagement with the Society and its activities.
• Contributing to the Society’s ongoing efforts to increase public access to its collections and contributing to discussions about the policies that will shape the Society’s future.
