Our Local History Publications

Farnham & District Museum Society publishes longer reports and books. Over 35 titles have been published since 1965, most solely by the Society and some in collaboration with the museum, publishers, or other local history societies.

Our publications cover many interesting and varied subjects:

  • Discover what life was like in Roman and Saxon Farnham.
  • Understand the town’s involvement in the Civil Wars.
  • Unearth the historically significant events that took place at Farnham Castle.
  • Delve into little-known insights concerning the lives of local women.
  • Learn about Farnham’s past hop industry and the families that made it.

These topics and many more are subjects on our publication list. The late Leni Grosset’s generous bequest to the Society has made several publications possible.
