Autumn 2025 Talk Programme Announced – Farnham & District Museum Society
The Farnham & District Museum Society is delighted to announce its Autumn 2025 programme of engaging and thought-provoking local history talks. This autumn’s line-up highlights fascinating stories that connect Farnham to wider national and international histories – from the creative power of Surrey women in the suffrage movement to the legacy of D-Day, the foundations of military education, and the satirical brilliance of Gilbert and Sullivan.
Each talk takes place in the Garden Gallery, tucked away in the Museum of Farnham’s walled garden – an intimate and welcoming space that reflects the Society’s commitment to making history accessible, sociable and rooted in place. Talks begin at 2.30pm on Fridays, typically running for an hour, and are followed by light refreshments and friendly discussion.
Whether you’re a long-time local or a newcomer to Farnham, our autumn programme offers a chance to deepen your knowledge of the area’s rich cultural heritage, meet others with similar interests, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in a beautiful setting.
